Hey there, "Avid XpressDV" members--

This Tribe doesn't have an active moderator, but as a matter of policy, Tribe.net likes all groups to have a leader.

Can you collectively choose someone to moderate your Tribe?

When you've reached consensus, have the new moderator send a note to help@tribe.net, with the words "Moderator Change – the name of the tribe" in the subject header, letting us know that you've selected a new leader. Please be sure to include a link to this discussion thread!

Importing audio.....im having rouble

Hey y'all!!!!

Ok, so heres my deal: I have Avid Xpress DV because I really want to edit, but there's so very much I don't know, which I am trying to learn as I go. I am working on my very first project, which is a music video for my friend's band. I imported the song from my Itunes Library, but for some reason, in the sequence, the song speeds up at several points and sounds bad. Does this have anything to do with the sample rate? And if so, what should the sample rate be? Man, I have no clue what I'm doing :) :) :) :) Please help!!! Thanks so much!!! ~~~~ Kimmy

Avid Color correction

Alright, I'm a director/ producer so I know how to edit and do production. I am just really hazy on the proper process of color correction. My Editor is just as green of a color correction artist as I am on my current project. We are cutting on Avid DV. Can anyone shed some light on the proper methods involved with all this? Glad I found this tribe. I'm planning to buy a G5 with Avid Express Pro and the Avid Mojo. Is there anyone who has experience with this system and are there any negative side effects?

how cheap can you find an avid xpress dv?
I have de avid free dv, and I'm about to kill myself after been working with the real thing at studios, well thanks.
