Hey y'all!!!!
Ok, so heres my deal: I have Avid Xpress DV because I really want to edit, but there's so very much I don't know, which I am trying to learn as I go. I am working on my very first project, which is a music video for my friend's band. I imported the song from my Itunes Library, but for some reason, in the sequence, the song speeds up at several points and sounds bad. Does this have anything to do with the sample rate? And if so, what should the sample rate be? Man, I have no clue what I'm doing :) :) :) :) Please help!!! Thanks so much!!! ~~~~ Kimmy

your music may be at 44.ooo
i use quicktime pro and convert the aiff to a mov file (just audio)
i up it to 48.000 to match the dv (usually at 48.000) footage
then i import it into avid...old school but always works. -

Tue, June 14, 2005 - 11:37 PMHi Paul,
Thanks so much for the reply with my ANNOYONG audio problem!!
Anyways, I tried importing the song at 48, and for some reason, it still sped up at several points. Is there anything else that you can think of that I might be able to try? Thank you so much for your help, it's appreciated!!

Re: Importing audio.....im having rouble
Thu, June 23, 2005 - 2:14 AMIs it speeding up at some points? Or is it all pitched up?
How did you make the file 48 kHZ. In which program?
What I usually do is grab it from a the cd in Cubase in a 44,1 kHz Project, then opening it in a 48 kHz project, so by importing it converting to the project settings (48kHz). Cubase does that really good. Then I bounce it and give it a new name, so Cubase makes it a seperate file on the HD in 48 kHZ. THat's the file that I import in Avid. I never had problems with that so far...
Hope that helps,
Good Luck!
